Benidorm is one of the top destinations for the quality–price ratio, according to TripAdvisor.
It came second in web searches by Spanish clients and is the fourth preferred destination for the British, beating Barcelona.
Benidorm’s popularity as a holiday destination for the summer season is evident from a trend study that the TripAdvisor website has conducted among its users.
With the best quality-price ratio, Benidorm is the second most sought-after destination by national tourists to plan their summer holidays, only surpassed by Mallorca and offering the best average price per stay of the destinations that make up the top ten of this study, among which are important cities like London, Paris or Rome, as well as other national destinations.
As for the preferences of foreign tourists, it is worth highlighting that Benidorm is the fourth most preferred destination for British tourists, even ahead of Barcelona, which occupies fifth place, becoming one of the international benchmarks in terms of searches carried out on TripAdvisor.
Although the study shows a slight change in some habits among domestic tourists, such as the increase in the percentage of those who book their holidays at least one month in advance by up to 70%, the preference for a sun and beach destination remains unchanged for the vast majority of users (40%). Spending per tourist will also increase, as 81% of portal users say they will have the same or a larger budget for their summer vacation than last year.
Considering that, according to this study, nine out of ten Spaniards will travel this summer, and that almost half (43%) will do so more than once, Benidorm is emerging as one of the top destinations for the summer season. The climate, beaches, quality accommodations, complementary offerings, and the good value for money that tourists find throughout the hospitality sector are key pillars of the success that, according to this data, Benidorm will reap this season.
